llms.txt
llms.txt is an optional plain text file at the top level of a website that tells AI search, in ordinary language, what the site is and which pages matter most.
In a little more detail
It is newer than robots.txt and it does a different job: robots.txt controls who may enter, llms.txt explains what they have found. Nothing is obliged to read it. It costs an hour to write and it removes guesswork about what your business actually is, which is the thing machines are worst at.
