Accessibility here.

What we test on Keigeo, what the last audit found, what we fixed, and how to tell us about something that does not work for you.

What we test

We test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at levels A and AA. That is the standard most public bodies and courts refer to.

The last audit ran on 2026-09-20 across five pages: the home page, Pricing, the free scan, the example report, and How it works. Each was tested at a desktop width and again at a phone width.

Three tools run together: axe-core, IBM Equal Access, and our own checks for the things a rules engine cannot see, such as whether a dialog takes keyboard focus when it opens, whether every tab stop shows a visible focus change, and whether a page can be read at 320 pixels wide without scrolling sideways.

What the last audit found, and what we changed

It found six defects. All six are fixed, and the fix was confirmed by running the audit again against the live site.

The home page scrolled sideways on a narrow screen. It now reflows down to 320 pixels wide.

Six controls referred to panels that were not on the page, so a screen reader was told about a relationship it could not follow. Each control now refers only to a panel that exists.

The scan field's only visible label was the placeholder text, which disappears as soon as you type, and on a phone there was no visible label at all. It now has a permanent visible label, tied to the field, at every screen width.

Two colours used for small labels sat below the contrast minimum against the shade behind them. Both were darkened until they cleared it.

We do not use an accessibility overlay

No widget, toolbar or script that claims to fix accessibility automatically runs on this site, and none will. Overlays leave the underlying page exactly as it was, and they interfere with the screen reader and keyboard settings a person has already chosen.

Everything above was fixed in the markup and the stylesheet.
