Supplier boilerplate left in descriptions

Phrases like 'Dear customer, please allow 1-3cm measurement error' identify the listing as an unedited dropship import.

How to fix it
  1. Search the catalogue for the common phrases and remove them wholesale. This one is safe to bulk-fix.
  2. Add the pattern list to your import pipeline so it strips on the way in rather than being cleaned up later.
  3. Check for placeholder text at the same time, since 'lorem ipsum' and 'TODO' tend to survive in the same listings.

Why an agent cares

This text is a fingerprint. It appears in thousands of listings across hundreds of stores, all pulled from the same supplier catalogues, and it is trivially recognisable.

For an agent weighing whether a store is a genuine retailer, this is among the strongest available negative signals, because it is copy no first-party brand would ever write.

It also frequently carries claims you have not vetted, about shipping times or measurement tolerances, which become your claims once published.
