How to fix it
- Confirm /sitemap.xml resolves on your primary domain, not just on the myshopify.com host.
- Make sure robots.txt references it.
Why an agent cares
Deep catalogue pages are frequently reachable only through faceted navigation that a crawler will not exhaust. The sitemap is the flat list that guarantees discovery.
Shopify generates one automatically at /sitemap.xml, so an absent sitemap usually means the storefront is password protected, the domain being checked is not the live storefront, or a proxy is intercepting the path.
